Dr Pepper Rings in the New Year by Highlighting Fans' Individuality With the "/1" Campaign

Brand Celebrates "One of One" Individuals, Including Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Michelle Phan and Romeo Santos

This year the brand continues its celebration of this theme through the "one of one" ("/1") campaign, that highlights individuals who are not just one in a billion, but "one of one." Today the brand kicks off a new series of ads showcasing one of a kind people who break the mold, including Grammy-nominated hip hop superstars and hit makers Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, YouTube phenomenon and beauty entrepreneur Michelle Phan and Grammy-nominee and "the king of bachata," Romeo Santos.

The "/1" campaign showcases exceptional stories of people from all walks of life. Brand new "/1" stories that will appear in 2014 include:

  • Macklemore and Ryan Lewis — Grammy-nominated hip hop superstars and hit makers
  • Michelle Phan — YouTube's top female video artist and entrepreneur whose how-to tutorials gained her worldwide fame
  • Romeo Santos — Grammy-nominated chart-topping Latin singer, composer and producer
  • Retna — contemporary graffiti artist
  • Maggie Parker — first and only professional female bull rider in America
  • Garrett ‘GMAC' McNamara — world-record-breaking professional big wave surfer and extreme waterman

The first 2014 "/1" spot debuted nationally on January 1st and features a round-up of inspirational stories. Today, Michelle Phan's ad makes national broadcast debut, followed by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' on January 20th (which will also air on E! during the station's GRAMMY red carpet coverage). Romeo Santos' spot will premiere on February 10th, and the rest of the ads will roll out over the course of 2014.
